Artifacts - Permanance

The active ability cannot be accessed without the artifact. Not weakly, not partially—not at all. The artifact is not a training wheel. It is the instrument. If lost or destroyed, the user reverts to passive only until the artifact is recovered or a new resonant object is found and bonded.

Exception: in moments of extraordinary emotional or physical extremity, a raw expression of the passive may briefly manifest without the artifact. This is not controlled, not repeatable, and comes at severe cost (see: Roxana's prison spark). The artifact remains essential for all deliberate, sustained active use.

The artifact may deepen in attunement over time, reflecting the user's growth, but is never made obsolete.
